At That Moment
Flies congregate in the space
Beneath the rafters of the gazebo
Built with his hands,
Paying homage to the
Plants that grow so luxuriant
There in the dappled
Sunlight.
A cracked terracotta pot
Grows a beard of daisy roots.
Water dribbles down
The side of the ledge
Of a brick step mottled
With malachite moss.
A bird sips from the puddle.
