Back Pocket Pasta
All home cooks wish for a repertoire of easy to produce, impressive recipes with simple ingredients. Recipes that one can pull from their back pocket and whip together in no time. This book has dozens of pasta dishes that fit the bill. The recipes in this book are so easy to pull together that it usually takes no more than a rapid perusal through the larder to determine what one can make. Most importantly, I have found many of the recipes to be amenable to substitute ingredients. For instance, I recently made the Brown Buttered Squash Bake with sweet potato instead of squash and it turned out great. With recipes that are resilient and flexible the possibilities stemming from this book are practically endless. Quite a few of the recipes have sparked ideas for me and I’ve come up with some new methods that fit well with the foods that my family likes. If you are hoping to expand the list of quick recipes that you keep in the back of your mind (or pocket), this book will make you more efficient at answering that age old question “What’s for dinner?” on short notice.
